The difference between Western and Japanese pornography.

Aside from pixelation censorship, I think one of the differences between Western and Japanese pornography is how new actresses debut and how the Japanese give more prominence to individual actresses.

You see, when a new actress debuts in a Western porn production company/studio, she usually doesn’t debut solo, but acting alongside other actresses. Generally, we see new actresses having a one or two-hour solo film as their debut. And when there are new actresses making solo films, they are usually for studios/production companies that release films/videos on the internet like BangBros, ExploitedCollegeGirls, RealityKings, BackroomCastingCouch, etc.

“Her First Porno She Made (2014),” 46 minutes long, was the porn video that launched the notorious Mia Khalifa. A pornographic “short film” from BangBros. A film in the gonzo/reality genre. A short film. Many of Mia’s films/videos are “short films.”

Does this happen in Japan too? Usually, it’s the amateur films from “FC2-PVP”. I don’t see this in studios/production companies like SOD, Kawaii, Kira Kira, E-Body, MOODYZ, MADONNA, etc.

I notice that Japanese porn studios release their new actresses with very long films, very long indeed. Films of more than one or two hours. Documentary-style pornographic films. A genre that is successful in Japan.

Another thing I also notice is the individual emphasis that Japanese porn studios give to the actresses. Many Japanese films place enormous emphasis on the individual protagonism of the actresses. It’s as if that film belongs only to one actress. Where actress X doesn’t share the “protagonism” with other actresses. It’s common to see Japanese porn actresses making dozens of solo films without acting alongside other actresses. The films belong to actress X.
